Writing at Night
You've left it far longer than you should have done to complete the essay due in in a few days time, and though you still have a while to write it, a sudden burst of energy and enthusiasm to write it hits you late at night. You contemplate going to bed, lying, staring at the ceiling, hoping for sleep, but decide against it. You can have an early night tomorrow when the essay is finished.
It's warm outside and, although a thin sheet of rain is falling, you can hear the sounds of night time creatures through your open window, and somewhere in another room, a music student is practicing for the concert next week.
