Temple of Dellio's World
Sophinism is, by far, Hakoron's most practiced religion, worshipping the queen of the world and goddess of fortune, future and truth, Dellio, and her gods and goddesses. Occasionally you'll see older citizens of Stafth worship her husband Virgineal, lord of the past, tradition and intelligence. You'll see lovesick teens and young adults pray to the statues of Madidi the goddess of all things eros love, marriage and sex, and her wife Agules, goddess of comfort, choice and experience. You'll see hopeful performers and the disabled ask the god of talent and senses, Endilin for his blessings. And you'll most certainly see all sorts of people in monochromatic clothing pray for their loved ones to be taken care of by Heliotolin, god of life, death and space. You hope they're praying for all six- you're not one to worship the gods only when you need them.
The temple is a large wood structure with modest interior design, contrary to its size. Marble statues of all six deities are placed in a circle around the middle, with their faces towards the people. Each was carved by two gifted young men living with each other, and donated after years of hard work. A fire burns in the center of the statues. It barely crackles, as if the flames itself are careful to keep the peace of the Sophinists and still keep them warm. It was quite the conversation starter when Sophinist holymen visited the Stathan temple.
To your right, an open window is covered by a swaying gong with a mallet inches from the instrument. Every time the wind blows, the gong lightly rings. It's been an essential piece to any Sophinist temple, due to the tradition that Dellio and the gods hear the prayers of humans through the gong. You feel that people should manually play the gong since the current method seemed lazy, but no one caring for the temple had agreed with you.
Stafth was quite the Sophinist village. On every Friday, the holy day, people would stream in through the wooden doors of the temple, kneel by the statues, and simply pray. This Friday was no exception, and you could see countless fans around the circle. Each varied in age, gender, and color (though many had that trademark Hakoronian tan); it was quite a sight to see how diverse the Sophinists were when congregated in one massive room.
But now, you payed no heed. You didn't come here to google at the building, after all. You kneeled behind a pale man and his family, closed your eyes, and thought only of the blessings the gods had granted you.
