A Kind Old Witch Gives You Tea While Her Lazy Dog Familiar Sleeps
Tea With A Witch
You're not sure what caused you to wander the woods at night. Maybe it was that fight with the person you love, maybe it was a nice night for a walk, maybe something called you in.
Whatever the case may be, you followed the bloomers and dark dresses hung out on clotheslines until you came across a small, warm looking cottage. The cool night air was beginning to give you chills. You hadn't the chance to knock before a saggy, elderly woman with too-knowing eyes invited you in for tea.
You stepped over a large, brown and white dog sprawled out on an intricately woven rug by the glowing hearth fire, it barely raised its head as it gave you a quick sniff. The witch brought you a cup of tea, loose leaves at the bottom, which you were sure meant something, but she wouldn't reveal just yet. She returned to her knitting as you settled in, and waited for you to feel comfortable enough to start the conversation.
