"I just got back to mom's house. Oh, I've missed it so much. Sure, I do love my apartment in the states, but nothing quite beats the home I grew up in all those years ago -- and it's exactly how I remembered it.
"That old clock is still ticking; I guess mom didn't hate it as much as she said considering she hasn't thrown it out, probably because Dad loved it. The cats are still doing fine; I missed them quite a lot over the past nine months, and -- oh! There goes the tea kettle. I think Mom is also making some pasta, too? Perhaps I'll get up off the couch and go look, but honestly? I don't want to, because I'm home...
"And I love it here."
