Mississauga Summer Night
The sound of the sprinkler on the lawn is one of my favorite memories of growing up in the suburban streets of Toronto. It was the sound of summer. Long after the street lights came on, the air would cool, though the sidewalks would still be warm. Crickets and the occasional dog bark filled the air. Dew collected on the grass and I loved the thrill of walking on it with bare feet.
