Homework on the Back Porch
It's almost the end of your senior year of high school, and it's finally warm outside. You love the smell of the cool air as evening closes in. The rope swing on the back porch lets you in the evening and gives you a great place to work on homework. It's a good thing, too; your motivation was *suffocating* trying to study at the kitchen table.
Your parents decided to have some friends over for supper, including your best friend's family. It's still a school night though, and, now that supper's over, you and your friend have retreated to the back porch. The porch light casts a yellow glow to read by as you both work on your final assignments. The spring peepers yell their cacophony from who-knows-where, but the soundtrack you're listening to seems to bring even the frogs under a sort of calming lull. Your friend's typing isn't exactly calm, but, hey, it's motivating. Maybe you can take advantage of that. You open a web browser and begin your assignment.
