Aristocratic French ladies presided over salons invariably held in their extensive drawing rooms in the capital or at Versailles.
Madame la Marquise has invited you to one of her philosophical conversation. You come into her drawing rom, beautiful and bright, entered in gold and white, and decorated with expensive rococo furniture.
As it is a hot but cloudy summer day, all the windows are open and the sound from the street is heard. The people in the room are silent when one of the ladies will perform a song, you sit back in the sofa and enjoy the music.
