First Home
You're sitting in your living room in an armchair by the window. Your cat is resting on the back of your chair, her tail draped over your shoulder. There's a light drizzle, and you can hear cars passing by on your street. Some neighborhood dogs bark in the distance. Despite the rain, you hear the sounds of birds. A pair of Blue Jays are now nesting in the tree in your backyard. There's some music playing in the next room, you love that song. You hear the love of your life walking around the house, the floors are old and creaky and loud, but when it's their steps you hear you never seem to mind. For the first time in your life, you feel like everything's gonna be alright. You're in your first home, with your first pets, and with your first love. You're completely at peace.
