This is your reserved window-seat for studying, high in the tower of a castle library.

Up in a small, quiet, wood-paneled room in the library tower of The Fairytale Castle, there is a spacious window-seat that is reserved just for you as a study corner for the schoolyear. It is lined with a plush cushioned seat of smoky grey-blue padded velvet, and the intricately-paned large bay windows look across the top of the castle, with glimpses of nearby treetops, glittering lakes and deep forests between the peaks of the other castle towers. You can feel the warmth of this room’s fireplace which keeps this side-room feeling cozy, even while a cool breeze sweeps across the castle. The windows are slightly open, and the fresh air, smelling like a deep spruce forest, swirls in gently. Although the sun is coming through the windows, warm and golden, there are occasional cool cloud shadows and the scent of rain to come. There is a miniature bookshelf to one side of the seat, with just enough room for a few books and a mug of your favorite hot tea. If you lean just far enough out from the seat, you can catch the eye of the student in the next window-seat over, who just happens to be your good friend (who purposely reserved the window-seat right next to yours); you both like to trade book recommendations and the occasional mischievous joke. Whenever you catch her looking up, her eyes twinkle smilingly back at you. You both take turns fetching water for the iron tea-kettle and keeping it hot over the nearby fire.
