Autumn Forest
The leaves shimmer around you in gentle splashes of gold. You walk slowly, out of respect and awe for the forest around you, taking in every sound; every patter of every chipmunk, every rustle of every leaf and stone and twig. As you walk, you hear the distant, haunting chime of church bells, reminding you every hour of the progression of time. But in this moment, you are frozen, crisp as the air, while the Autumn leaves welcome you home.
