Lulling winds blow against the windows and into the house, where the daughter of the strange, obsessive owner plays her haunting melodies on the piano in the sitting room. A fireplace crackles and sends dancing shadows in the warm light across the floor. In the hall, the grandfather clock ticks the night away and the housekeeper sweeps the floors spotless. The gate has not been opened in years. Is the sad music, drifting across the countryside, a warning?
